How To - Processing Chip & PIN or Contactless Transactions

1. Select the EFT option in the Pay panel, then select the Local PED.








2. Confirm the payment amount on the till, either by typing in the value or pressing Enter.








Do not enter a tip or an overpayment value on the till as this will cause the transaction to fail. It should be added on the PED by the customer



3. The till will show that the transaction is ready to be completed on the PED.







4. The transaction will be pushed to the PED.
5. The customer should follow the instructions on screen to either Insert, Swipe or Tap their card







6. If the customer has inserted their card on the PED, " Please Wait... Do not remove card" will be displayed, followed by "Please enter your PIN"












7. Once the PIN has been entered, "PIN OK" will be displayed, followed by "Authorising"












8. Once the transaction has been approved, the customer will be prompted to Remove Card, and the Approved check will be displayed












9. The POS terminal/ till will now display the Transaction Approved screen.
10. Press OK to continue
